Mangoes: The Divine Fruit of Pleasure and Love

Similar to the apple’s symbolic status in Christianity, Mango is a fruit with many stories surrounding its significance as a spiritual symbol within the Hindu religion. Except rather than sin, the sacred fruit is more strongly associated with love, pleasure, happiness and prosperity. 🥭

Hindu mythology is robust with stories that deserve to be told at a grand scale–at least as much as any others. In many of these spiritual stories and depictions, the mango holds a place of reverence, influencing the culture as a whole.

While highly regarded as the King of Fruits, the beloved drupe is highly celebrated throughout India and beloved the world over. As a Mexican-American, I am known to indulge in the succulent flesh of a perfectly ripe mango. Even just consuming it, is an erotic experience unto itself. This is a concept we will explore more deeply today, while uncovering religious concepts and more.

Regarded as a symbol of love, fertility and prosperity, the mango has transcended to become embody erotic pleasures, as enjoyed by the gods. And who wouldn’t want pleasure worthy of the gods?

Mythological Origins and Associations

The influence of the mango is quite apparent, when studying its influence on scriptures and folklore. The mango is native to the entirety of the India-Burma-Malaysia region, and thus is grown in abundance. In Hinduism, the fruit is considered extremely sacred, with many pieces of folklore and legends including the fruit. The mango is even mentioned in critical and ancient pieces of literature. Specifically it’s mentioned in the Ramayana and Mahabharata; these are epic poems, which are thousands of years old.

The mango tree itself was believed to be of divine origin, and associated with the Hindu God of Love and Desire, Kamadeva. Legends told of Kamadeva using the mango flower to create an intoxicating fragrance, which aroused the passions of the other deities. Kamadeva, similarly to Cupid, even employs a bow made from mango wood to ignite desire. 🔥

This association with Kamadeva links the mango to the concept of ‘Madhurya,’ or sweetness. This is a concept that extends beyond the taste of sweetness, encompassing love, beauty and bliss. And I think that’s beautiful.

Mangoes are so much more than. agesture of goodwill and love. When worshipping in temples, mangoes are offered to deities. This is a religious offering known as ‘prasadam’. As a sacred gift, it’s later distributed to devotees, so as not to waste the fruit.

Sharing this fruit with others is seen as fostering joy and spiritual fulfillment, beyond the erotic pleasures of the divine. Some may call it “sweet”. ☺️

Mango Hindu Religion – Rituals and Traditions

As we’ve covered so far, mango’s influence was not confined to the bounds of mythology. They have been seen in various rituals and traditions, like in weddings, as gifts bound in superstition, and as offerings to the gods. Mango leaves are also used in decorations, like garlands called “torans,” and to decorate the bride’s entrance to symbolize fertility and what she will bring to married life.

Mangoes are frequently seen throughout wedding ceremonies. In some cases, a bride may wear a mango leaf in her hair, which symbolizes fertility and sweetness. In some cases, newlyweds are fed mangoes to bless them with a passionate union, ifyouknowwhati’msayin.

Stories and Legends

There are many stories and legends I encountered, upon learning more about the fruit of desire. One of the more common legends involves the god Krishna, and his spiritually enduring romance with Radha. They have a bond that had endured since they were children, with the mango being a symbolic gesture between them. While they were not married, they were portrayed as a couple bound beyond the earthly realm.

As some of their stories foretold, Krishma was a mischievous and amorous boy. It was wait that he had playfully stolen mangoes to give to Radha, signifying his love and desire for her. The mango, thus, continues to appear as a symbol of their celestial romance, embodying the joy and ecstasy of love.

They’re even frequently portrayed under a mango tree, enjoying the joy of their bond together.

While there are dozens of tales, it’s impossible to cover them in a single blog post. If you’re interested in more mango storytelling, please comment on this post below!

On Mangoes and Pleasure – Let’s talk ‘Kama’

Kama is actually a really fascinating concept, unto itself, and it’s a small part of the overall eroticism of the mango itself. Also, it’s another concept I feel should be more widely promoted, as an eroticist. Be that as it may, you’re probably familiar with the Kama Sutra.

Kama itself is a reference to the aforementioned god of love, Kamadeva. Expanding upon kama as a concept is crucial in understanding the full connection between love and mangoes. ‘Kama’ is a term that is used to refer to creating desire.

Bear with me for a second–think of Kama like the present day art of thirst trapping. Broadly, kama refers to anything that may stimulate sensual desire, aesthetically or physically. This could be in the form of passions, pleasures, artforms, and beyond.

So, next time you feel a little more stimulated than usual, by that cutie on Insta? Kama, baby.

Have a Mango With Me

Going beyond the sweetness of mango, there is so much more to its sensual roots than the way it drips between your cleavage as you eat it (No? Just me?). That’s another blog, altogether.

There are over 1,000 varieties of mangoes–how many have you tried? This divine fruit is enjoyed around the world, in dozens of ways. Mango, a vessel of eroticism, is a fruit worthy of the gods–so that means it’s more than good enough for me.

While there are so many stories to be told, I’ll have to save that for yet another edition of Eros & Edibles–I couldn’t possibly contain it all in one post! Celebrate the Mango with me this Spring, and let me know if you learned anything on my social media!

Why is Chocolate Romantic? From Bitter Water to Erotic Elixir

After writing my last Eros & Edibles piece on Chocolate as an Aphrodisiac, I was left with more questions about how chocolate came to be so heavily associated with sexual appetite and lust. Why is Chocolate Romantic and so associated with Sex and Love? Well, the answer isn’t quite as simple as you may expect!

While elbow deep in chocolate-knowledge, I discovered so many things I didn’t include in that article, because it simply didn’t fit. There are so many more interesting and unique facts surrounding chocolate’s sensual reputation, extending far back to the days when ancient civilizations thrived in Mesoamerica.

As a Hispanic woman, I am quite familiar with the allure of the decadent treat. Mexican Hot Chocolate, adorned with the taste of cinnamon and ancho chiles, is a result of the deeply and spiritually rooted flavors that come from a plant that was once considered sacred.

Chocolate: From Bitter Water to Erotic Elixir

Chocolate is one food that people look at you as if you spouted an extra limb if you say you “don’t like” it. What’s wrong with you? Have you only had Hershey’s or something–it tastes like vomit! Chocolate has long enchanted each populatio throughout the ages, with its unctuous and silky texture; the result of processing invented by ancient civilizations.

Discovering the erotic and spiritual roots of this now ubiquitous treat has fostered more fascination in me, beyond just the libido boosting benefits. This is a discovery and celebration of the roots of “xocolatl”–or “bitter water”–better known today as Chocolate!

Where Does Chocolate Come From?

Chocolate is deeply rich and silky, tantalizing the tastebuds and leaving us with a high level of satisfaction for a number of reasons. However, this treat has an extensive ancient history.

Chocolate originated in Mesoamerica over 4000 years ago, and was first turned into a drink by the Olmecs of Mesoamerica. Their bitter brew, made with cacao beans they processed themselves, was a revelation to ancient societies. Not only for its incomparable flavor, but for the symbolism in which cacao was bestowed upon these civilizations.

These Mesoamerican civilizations held chocolate, known to them as “xocolatl,” in high regard. They recognized its potential to elevate mood and incite desire, as they sipped upon this sacred liquid.

How was Xocolatl Used?

The Aztecs and the Mayans were particularly famous for their xocolatl rituals. They believed this was a gift from divinity. Consumption of xocolatl was usually reserved for nobility, and served also in religious ceremonies and weddings, where lower classes were also able to enjoy the sacred elixir.

Cacao was Considered Divine

The Mayans held chocolate in a high regard, and called it the “Drink of the Gods”. Mayans poured this mixture from one pot to another, creating a thick foamy beverage called “xocolatl”, meaning “bitter water.” Mayan chocolate was a revered brew made of roasted and ground cacao seeds mixed with chilies, water and cornmeal.

This bitter water was so much more than a beverage. This was a gift from the gods, and they believed that this plant had medicinal qualities, contributing to energy levels through compounds such as theobromine, They saw it not merely as a beverage but as a gift from feathered-serpent deity Quetzalcoatl, bestowing vitality and passion upon those who partook in its divine essence

Quetzalcoatl is a Toltec name for a Mesoamerican God who represented a variety of pleasures they enjoyed, including salubrious health, love, sex, food, and general agriculture.

In addition to the civilizations that came before them, the Aztecs adopted the idea from the Maya, that cacao was a god-given fruit. They used cacao beans as a commodity, considering them as valuable as Spaniards saw Gold. Additionally, they followed the tradition of preparing chocolate as a drink in rich cultural rituals, and were particularly entranced by chocolate’s libido enhancement properties.

Who Brought Chocolate To Europe?

The enchantment of chocolate has captivated the human palate for centuries, and it’s only grown ever since it expanded beyond its Mesoamerican roots. These days, what was once viewed as a luxury, and as valuable as gold, is now available for a couple of bucks at your local convenience store.

Chocolate made its way to Spain via means of the explorer Hernán Cortés, who was searching for gold. He was surprised to be presented with an abundance of cacao beans.

Chocolate: From Currency to a Commodity

When Cortes came to meet with the Aztecs, he was on a conquest for gold. Evidently, he was shown cacao beans instead. This is a testament to the value the Mayans–and subsequently the Aztecs–placed on cacao. Cacao was used as currency, as well as a sacred drink for rituals and extravagant events.

Initially Spaniards didn’t think much of cacao. Mixing these ground beans with chiles and corn masa was not too pleasing to the European palate.

Eventually, Spaniards began drinking chocolate with some changes; imparting sweetness to please their palates. Spanish monks were the first to add sugar to chocolate, creating something far more similar to the hot chocolate we drink today.

Chocolate was served as a beverage to noble people in Spain, adorned with occasional spices such as cinnamon, instead of the chile peppers and corn masa that were traditionally used by Native Mesoamericans.

In Spain, their unique take on the original unsweetened beverage was served to nobility, and prized as a special secret of the Spanish. It was 100 years before Chocolate was brought to other countries.

Nowadays, you can still find it prepared similarly in the form of Champurrado. This corn-masa thickened drink is sweetened with ingredients like piloncillo and cinnamon, providing a uniquely Mexican experience.

How Chocolate Became So Sexy

Montezuma II, the Aztec emperor, was probably the greatest testament to chocolate’s erotic reputation. The emperor enjoyed this beverage so much, he even served xocolatl to Spanish explorers in 1519, who were considered honored guests.

While chocolate was considered medicinal for many reasons, Montezuma prized his favorite drink for enhancing his sexual performance. It was said that the emperor consumed copious amounts of this frothy, bitter concoction to heighten his virility and stamina. As such, he was said to consume up to 50 cups of the divine liquid – daily! The ruler especially made sure to imbibe this stimulating tonic before getting buck wild in his personal harem.

The emperor’s legendary consumption of chocolate specifically for his romantic exploits underscored its status as a divine aphrodisiac. The belief in its ability to inflame the senses and invigorate the body was so strong that cacao beans were even used as currency, a tangible measure of value and desire.

Preparation of Chocolate or Xocolatl

The preparation of xocolatl was a ritual in itself. This took a meticulous process that involved roasting and grinding cacao beans into a paste. This paste was then mixed with water and spices, along with nixtamalized cornmeal for thickening. This ancient, labor-intensive method produced a concoction that  had undeniable, potent effects on the mind and body. However, it was also far removed from the sugary sweetness of modern chocolate.

The frothy beverage, often spiced with chili peppers and vanilla, was a complex blend of bitterness and heat. Xocolatl was a a sensory experience that stimulated passion in the brain. This was especially powerful when combined with the effects of spiritual rituals.

As the bitter liquid coursed through the veins of its consumers, it was believed to trigger the release of mood-enhancing chemicals within the brain.

How Does Chocolate Stimulate the Brain?

Phenylethylamine is a compound found in chocolate. This compound is known to stimulate the same neurological pathways as falling in love or experiencing intense attraction.

Anandamide, another compound, induces a state of bliss, its name derived from the Sanskrit word for joy or delight. These scientific findings lend at least some credence to chocolate’s sexy reputation.

So when I say a decadent chocolate cake tastes like “love,” I most certainly mean it.

Even modern day chocolate can prove to be a multi-sensory experience! While it may be sweet, sometimes cloyingly so, it also provides savory undertones to satisfy all senses of your palate. Now you know–a taste of this treat has the power to evoke the most delicious cocktail of brain chemicals!

Today, chocolate remains a symbol of romance and pleasure. Somehow, throughout the trials of time, the decadent treat still proves it’s a true descendant of the sacred xocolatl. While the recipe has evolved to suit sweeter tastes, the essence of chocolate’s allure persists. Chocolate continues to be a universal language of love, a key to unlocking desire, and always proves to be the perfect romantic gift.

Experience the enduring power of ancient wisdom, yourself, this Valentine’s Day. Enjoy a bite or three, before you seal the deal! 💋

Sinfully Sweet – Honey Is An Aphrodisiac?

Today, I am excited to review with you the aphrodisiac qualities of honey! The naturally sensual syrup is sticky, it’s sweet, and has qualities that make more than your food and your luscious bodies good enough to eat! The golden elixir we spoon into our tea serves many health benefits, even as just a natural sweetener. However, we find that perhaps this divine food has much more than meets the eye.

Sinfully Sweet: The Aphrodisiac Qualities of Honey

The sticky, sweet elixir has enraptured us for a millennia. Famously, modern archaeologists have found pots of honey, thousands of years old, still preserved in ancient Egyptian tombs. Wouldn’t you know it? It was still good enough to eat.

Evidence suggests that this tempting treat can stir a little more than just your tea; it can stimulate that libido. Honey can stir up feelings of romance and passion, you may not expect or even consider as a result of regular honey consumption. Heck – I consume it almost daily! Maybe that’s why my libido is out of control. 🧐

While honey may have many benefits outside of this realm, today we uncover how the ancient nectar of desire earned its reputation as an aphrodisiac.

The Nectar of Aphrodite

From mythology to reality, honey has long been associated with love and lust. This is a sweetener that is rich and deep, with complex notes of flavor. It’s the essence of nature.

Honey is just a sexy substance, to begin with, if you think about it. It flows slowly, enveloping every molecule it rolls over with its golden hue. Just imagine the flow of honey over your bare skin, slightly thicker than the sweat rolling off your body in an act of passion. Imagine as it rolls down the skin of your lover, allowing you to taste them with just a little extra sweetness. The taste alone, for true gourmands, is sensually delectable as it is visually appealing, flowing slowly over bare skin.

While I may have lost track of that for a minute, I wanted to take a moment to note that this is a testament to how useful honey has been in natural medicines. Before modern medicine, honey has been used to treat sexual dysfunction and boost libido.

A Spoonful of Seduction; Honey as an Aphrodisiac

While honey provides the utmost of sensory pleasure, this tempting treat contains nutritive minerals that may serve to benefit you in the bedroom. It turns out that honey has been linked to protective roles in reproductive health! And we all know a healthy and virile reproductive system means a more vigorous sex life!

Honey contains a couple of important nutrients;

  1. Boron, which helps regulate hormone levels, and
  2. Nitric oxide, is the chemical responsible for erections, and thus is important to maintain within the body to stay 🍆

Mother Nature Makes Certain We Get Down

This study states that in reproductive health, honey has been shown to improve fertility, offers protection for post-menopausal women, and can even restore testosterone levels over time. This means more virility, even increasing sperm quality.

Research shows that just a three-ounce helping of honey can significantly increase nitric oxide levels in the blood. Plus, the natural sugars in honey provide a quick energy boost, perfect for those late-night rendezvous when you need a little extra stamina. 😇

The Bee’s Knees of Romance

Honey’s aphrodisiac qualities extend beyond the delicious taste. Its luscious sweetness can set the mood, making it a perfect addition to a romantic evening as a part of a charcuterie or cheese board or even just in the bedroom. Oh! Maybe a honey-flavored massage oil? Imagine the intoxicating scent that could be stemming from your lover.

Incorporating honey into your love life is both easy and enticing. Whether you’re drizzling it over strawberries for a playful treat or adding a dollop to your evening tea to set a cozy mood, honey’s sweetness is sure to add a touch of romance to any encounter.

So next time you’re looking to spice things up, consider reaching for the honey jar – one of our favorite aphrodisiacs – and savor the sweet, sensual buzz it brings. Whether enjoyed for its taste, its texture, or its ability to boost libido, honey is a versatile and delightful way to add a little sweetness to your sex life.

Chocolate Indulgence! Chocolate as an Aphrodisiac

You may love chocolate, but have you considered that you may love chocolate even more so because of an array of nutritional benefits and mood boosters? Chocolate is considered an aphrodisiac, and today we’re going to unpack a little bit more about how it became so well associated with love and lust.

You may seem keen to indulge in a piece of chocolate every so often (or daily–I do not judge), but there’s a rabbit hole beneath the simple pleasure of chocolate titillating your tastebuds. So what is it about chocolate that makes it such a potent symbol of desire?

An Indulgent Love Affair Between Chocolate and Your Hips

The very word conjures up images of rich flavors, and an experience that is as luxurious as it is comforting. Chocolate is among the top indulgent foods in the world, and is especially enjoyed around love-imbued celebrations.

Just a little bite of creamy decadence is the perfect sweet stimulation, to bridge an indulgent evening with a steamy finish.

The Food of the Gods: Chocolate Aphrodisiac

We give credit to ancient Mesoamericans, who were the first to understand the full body effects of chocolate. The history of chocolate began with the Maya, who were probably the first people in South America to cultivate the cocoa plant.

The Aztecs adopted many traditions and trade from the Mayans, carrying on the cacao traditions. They called it “xocolatl,” an ancient Nahuatl word meaning “bitter water”. This drink was nothing like the sweet confection we enjoy today. Instead, it was adorned with other chiles, herbs, and other flavors to develop a medicinal beverage, famously enjoyed by Aztec nobility. It was referred to as the “Food of the Gods” and was presented at the table of Emperor Moctezuma II by the Aztecs.

Nevertheless, this precious bean was prized for its mood-enhancing qualities. The Aztecs, in particular, believed chocolate to be a powerful aphrodisiac, among many other full-body qualities. So much so that the aforementioned Emperor was said to consume it in large quantities to fuel his romantic escapades among his harem!

The Chemistry of Craving

Chocolate contains a unique blend of compounds that can stimulate the brain and induce feelings of euphoria and pleasure.

The velvety texture and decadent flavor is more than just a treat—it’s a prelude to euphoria. Chocolate’s potent blend of phenylethylamine (PEA) and anandamide stimulates the brain in a similar way to the feeling of a lover’s touch. No wonder we love our chocolate so much!

Phenylethylamine isoften referred to as the “love drug,” because it can trigger the release of dopamine and norepinephrine. These are the same wonderful brain chemicals that bring on the feeling of falling in love!

So when I say a decadent chocolate cake tastes like “love,” I most certainly mean it.

Chocolate Aphrodisiac – Sensual Texture and Flavor

Chocolate is an incredible sensory experience. It’s savory, it’s sweet, evoking a delicious cocktail of brain chemicals!

The sensory experience of eating chocolate is another reason it’s associated with romance. Since chocolate has a creamy texture, the way it melts in your mouth can be likened to an intimate embrace. Similarly, dark chocolate, with its intense and slightly bitter notes, is particularly seductive, offering a sophisticated experience that can heighten the senses.

A Heart-Healthy Treat for Two

Beyond its ability to enchant the senses, chocolate also boasts health benefits that can contribute to a vibrant love life.

Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants called flavonoids, which have been shown to support heart health by improving blood flow. And we all know what better blood flow contributes to, right?

No? Well, it gives the body a much *ahem* easier time rising to the occasion, by clearing the path for blood to flow into our sensitive erogenous zones.

Eat up, Buttercup.

We think that there are many excuses to enjoy chocolate. It’s a delicious treat that provides good nutrition and brain chemicals that make us nourished in more ways than one.

Unwrap a timeless aphrodisiac that whispers to your deepest desires. With its rich history, mood-boosting compounds, and sensual appeal, chocolate is the perfect ingredient for a little romance. Don’t forget to take a look at Hot Date Nutrition! Here I talk more about aphrodisiac foods, and how to indulge in them a little more frequently!

So go ahead, surrender to the seduction of chocolate, and let the sparks fly as they may! ✨

Are Oysters an Aphrodisiac? Let’s Explore!

Are Oysters an Aphrodisiac? Many of those looking for a boost in the bedroom would like to know!

Have you been slurping your way to the bedroom? Is your mouth watering at the idea of slurping sweet, salty nectar, as it drips down your lips? To be finished with gratifying fullness, sated hunger, and a delicate, elegant little pearl to treasure at the end as you savor the aftertaste.

Welcome to Hot Date Nutrition, here on Peach Kisser! This is where we discuss the many ways food relates to sexuality, and beyond!

Today we’re uncovering the Facts and Fiction surrounding my favorite Aphrodisiac, Oysters!! They’re some of my personal favorite morsels to savor, whether or not they actually help to catapult you to an elevated orgasmic experience.

These titillating mollusks, and many other foods have, have earned the reputation of helping to amplify the effects of the bedroom. Is that all in our heads, or are there reasons it may contribute to our sexual health?

Images of oysters conjure up visions of date nights, fancy dinners or even just as a beautiful and natural ode to the vagina. Along with many other foods, this humble mollusk has made its way onto the most romantic and indulgent of tables.

If the pure sensuality of oysters alone hasn’t gotten you gripped with appeal, there are a number of things that may contribute to the overall perception of Oysters as an Aphrodisiac.

Why are Oysters an Aphrodisiac?

Oysters on Ice with Champagne

Why are Oysters an Aphrodisiac?

Believe it or not, oysters are rich in nutrients that have an impact on sexual health in all genders.

Zinc – known to increase testosterone production, among other roles within the body.

Vitamin B12 – has many roles in the body including synthesis of serotonin, blood flow, and improvement in testosterone production.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids – known to improve blood flow, which is essential for healthy erectile function.

Proper nutrition primes the body for good sexual health, impacting all the processes it takes to achieve a healthy, sustainable sex life. Zinc, in particular, is most directly associated with testosterone production, while the other nutrients serve to benefit the body as a whole. (1)

Testosterone is the hormone most associated with men. The truth is, however, that all genders rely on testosterone in different amounts, to achieve and carry out functions in our reproductive systems. Testosterone also plays a role in AFAB bodies, playing roles in libido, mood, energy, fertility, and menstrual cycles. This means that testosterone is essential to sexual function in all gender. (2)

Therefore, restoring adequate levels of these nutrients may have an impact on sexual health and performance.

If testosterone levels are too low, without regard to gender, one may experience symptoms in sexual function, mood, and more. Please consult your doctor or medical professional if you are experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, ED, or vitamin deficiency.

Date Night Essential

Oysters have long been associated with luxury and indulgence. This simple notion alone can add to their appeal as an aphrodisiac. The act of eating oysters, especially in a romantic setting, can be a sensual experience when shared between two lovers, already enrobed in lust.

When experiencing the throes of passion, eating and sensuality go hand-in-hand. Many of us crave a night of sensual indulgence; a sensual meal that culminates into a vigorous romp

Are the effects of oysters as an aphrodisiac are psychosomatic or zinc-induced? The truth is, it’s likely a combination of factors that may have your pants dancing with anticipation of good lovin’.

One would be remiss not to mention that the aphrodisiac properties of oysters, may simply be because of association. Meaning, they’re causing people to feel more sexually aroused, simply because they expect arousal to follow their slurpy consumption.

How to Eat Oysters

If you’ve never dined on the divine brine protein that is the oyster, there’s a whole lot to know, but I’m going to condense what I can into a quick review and checklist. That way you can impress your date when you’re ordering oysters in anticipation of a divine reward. 😉

What to Expect. Most frequently, you will be served raw oysters over ice. There may be sauces or vinaigrettes served alongside the shellfish. Sometimes they may be accompanied with something as simple as lemon juice and miniature bottles of Tabasco sauce. Occasionally, a restaurant may serve them with saltines.

Some may come prepared with various toppings, but a menu will dictate that ahead of time to inform your decision. Ask your waiter which oysters are the most fresh, if there are multiple options. Most restaurants these days will fly in fresh oysters, daily. Use your best judgment.

Go to a Good Restaurant

Most good restaurants will have already severed the adductor muscle, to make for a smooth, sleek slurping experience. If not, you’ll want to loosen it with the provided fork. A good restaurant will usually supply oyster forks.

Add some flavor. As mentioned, oysters are frequently served with lemon juice and Tabasco. It may even be served with a type of vinegar-y condiment called a mignonette. You don’t have to add anything at all, but adding additional flavor enhances the overall experience. And remember– we’re going for the full sensual experience.

Now, bring the shell to your lips, and slurp the meat, brine and all, into your mouth. Feels good, doesn’t it?

Chew it! Were you raised in a barn? Many commonly believe that the oyster is to be swallowed whole, at once. Unless you have a strong preference for swallowing mucus-y loads, then chewing is ideal to maximize flavor and more.

Discard the shell. Usually you can discard it upon a separate plate.

Whether you’re feeling randy after slurping up this visually stimulating aphrodisiac or not, oysters can contribute to your sexual health and your appetite in significant ways. Especially if you’re deficient in nutrients, and need the extra boost of zinc to get juices flowing, so-to-speak.
