There are certain things we’re taught about sex that feel so obvious, so baked in, we don’t even question them. They’re passed down through movies, porn, locker-room logic, and the quiet pressure to be “normal.”

This week’s myth is especially important:

Myth: Penetration is the main event.

It’s a common belief that sex doesn’t really start until penetration happens. People walking among us believ that everything before it is just foreplay. Perhaps it’s considered a warm-up act, something you endure or rush through on the way to the “real” thing. It’s a myth that convinces people to override their natural desires and instincts, and possibly end up faking orgasms or even lying to themselves.

Most sex myths aren’t built around pleasure. They’re built around performance and sometimes even by the patriarchy. This one happens to center male satisfaction.

So let’s slow it down.

Why We’re Taught Penetration Is the “Main Event”

Do you feel like you get more pleasure out of foreplay? You’re not alone. The idea that penetration is the main event seems to center around only one kind of pleasure, with many vagina-owners being left bereft of orgasm.

Penetration-focused sex works pretty well for people whose bodies are most easily and largely stimulated that way. For everyone else, it often requires adapting, waiting, or even erasing all desire altogether.

When sex is organized around penetration as the goal, everything else becomes secondary. That doesn’t mean penetration is bad. It just means we need to deconstruct pleasure, and reframe it in a way that pleasures all parties, regardless of their genitals.

Reality Check: Lesbian Sex Exists

One of the easiest ways to see the cracks in this myth is to look at sex that doesn’t involve around penises at all.

Lesbian sex doesn’t treat penetration as the default or the finish line. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn’t. Partners enjoy pleasure, connection, and responsiveness as they grow in pleasure together. And somehow, despite the lack of a so-called “main event,” the sex still counts. It’s still satisfying. It’s still complete.

This is the biggest smoking gun, to debunk this myth.

Reframing Penetration’s Role

Here’s where nuance matters: penetration can absolutely be part of great sex.

For many women, penetration feels best after other kinds of stimulation have already done some of the work. This is what we consider foreplay. More accurately, we’ll refer to these acts as “outercourse” here. We’re talking about kissing, touching, oral, grinding, teasing, warmth, buildup.

Think of penetration not as the ignition, but as something that can deepen or amplify pleasure once you’re already turned on. For some people, penetration can help tip things over the edge when they’re halfway there. For others, it’s neutral. For others, it’s not the thing at all.

Expansive Pleasure Changes Everything

The problem is pretending penetration is the whole point, altogether.

A lot of vagina owners don’t struggle with orgasm because their bodies are “difficult.” They struggle because sex has been narrowed down to one single act, requiring a penis.

When pleasure is allowed to be expansive, orgasm often follows more naturally. And if penetration joins the party? Great. If it doesn’t? Also great. You got to cum, you lucky devil!

Debunked Verdict 🍆

Penetration is the main event? Officially Debunked.

Unlearning sex myths can feel strange at first. Sometimes uncomfortable. Sometimes deeply relieving. Because once a myth loosens its grip, there’s suddenly more space—for curiosity, for communication, for pleasure that becomes more expansive.

Penetration is an option among many pleasure choices. It can be part of sex without being the only thing sex revolves around.

If you’ve ever felt disconnected, rushed, or underwhelmed because penetration was treated as the finish line, you’re not alone. And you’re not broken. Your pleasure just needs more room than the myth allows.

Sex isn’t a performance for someone else. It’s a shared experience, shaped by what actually feels good. You’re allowed to center your own pleasure.

Stay curious. Stay soft with yourself. And remember: your clit matters.

An age-old Sex Myths Debunked – kinks and fetishes are a sign of trauma or dysfunction. You know, the one that says that if you’re into anything remotely unconventional in the bedroom, you must be broken, damaged, or somehow flawed. Well, let me tell you, that’s a whole lotta B.S.. Research defintely says otherwise.

Our desires, fantasies, and preferences are a natural part of the human experience. They’re not a reflection of our past, but rather a celebration of our individuality and creativity.

Sex Myths Debunked: A Product of Societal Shame

So, where did this myth come from? Well, it’s largely a product of societal shame and the stigma surrounding sex in general. For centuries, we’ve been taught that sex is only for reproduction, and that any form of pleasure or experimentation is sinful or wrong. This puritanical mindset has led to the demonization of anything that doesn’t fit the narrow mold of “normal” sexuality.

But here’s the thing: what’s normal, anyway? Is it the missionary position, lights off, and a quickie before bed? Newsflash: that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, research suggests that up to 60% of people have at least one fetish or kink, with BDSM being one of the most common.

Research Says…

Studies have consistently shown that kinks and fetishes are not a sign of trauma or dysfunction. In fact, a 2013 study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that BDSM practitioners reported higher levels of intimacy, communication, and relationship satisfaction compared to non-BDSM participants.

Healthy Exploration vs. Pathology

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “But what about people who have experienced trauma? Doesn’t their kink or fetish stem from that?” Not necessarily. While it’s true that some people may develop kinks or fetishes as a coping mechanism for past trauma, this is not always the case.

In fact, research suggests that healthy exploration of kinks and fetishes can actually be a sign of emotional intelligence, creativity, and a willingness to challenge societal norms. It’s all about consent, communication, and mutual respect – the same principles that govern healthy relationships.

Normalizing Kink

We consider this Sex Myths Debunked! So, how do we normalize kink and fetish culture? By talking about it, for starters. By embracing our desires and fantasies, rather than shaming or hiding them. By recognizing that kinks and fetishes are a natural part of human sexuality, rather than a deviation from the norm.

So, the next time someone tells you that your kink or fetish is a sign of trauma or dysfunction, you tell them to take a seat. Research says otherwise. Our desires, fantasies, and preferences are a natural part of the human experience. Let’s celebrate our individuality, rather than shaming or hiding it.

And remember, sweethearts: kink is not a four-letter word. It’s a celebration of our humanity, creativity, and passion.

When we slather avocado upon our toast in the morning, we may not be thinking about the rich cultural history that brought the New World food to our plates. We certainly aren’t typically thinking about the potential libido enhancing properties of our foods, either.

Well, today we’re going to enlighten you to a bit of the historical and oddly sexy history of the fruit keeping a generation from buying homes: the avocado.

In ancient Mexican culture, the avocado was revered as a potent aphrodisiac and considered sacred – the Fruit of the Gods. While ancient Mesocamerican cultures believed the avocado to be divine, they also considered it a powerful aphrodisiac. This meant that ancient cultures were incorporating it into their rituals and ceremonies, as well as including it as a staple in their diet.

Avocado Ancient Origins

The Aztecs believed avocados were a gift from the gods, cultivated in sacred gardens, and used in rituals of fertility, love, and abundance. The fruit we love today his roots reaching back 5,000 years, into Southern Mexico. To ancient cultures, the avocado wasn’t just a life sustaining food–it was a divine gift of pleasure.

It was then–5,000 years ago–that Mesoamerican tribes first began to cultivate the avocado for consumption.

A Fruit Fit for the Gods

In Aztec mythology, the avocado was linked to Gods of fertility and agriculture, and revered as a gift from Quetzalcoatl, the “Feathered Serpent”. The avocado’s soft, lush flesh and womb-like form made it a potent symbol of femininity, desire, and sensual abundance.

Even more compelling: the fruit takes about nine months to ripen. To the ancients, it seemed as if it was a not-so-subtle nod to human gestation.

They Grow in Pairs, So Cup them Properly

And with its plump, suggestive shape? Yeah, they noticed it did seem to resemble things OTHER than a human womb.

Native to Mexico and Central and South America, the Spanish word aguacate comes from the Aztec ahuacuatl, literally meaning “the tree of testicles.” No doubt the name derived from the way the fruit of the tree hangs in pairs, reminding those ancient peoples of the human male anatomy.

The fruit’s name was both a literal nod to its shape and a cheeky celebration of male virility. The word ahuacamolli — “avocado sauce” — is the spicy linguistic ancestor of guacamole.

So while “guacamole” doesn’t literally translate to “testicle sauce.” But in slangy Aztec terms? Kind of, yeah.

From Warriors to Conquistadors

When Spanish conquistadors landed in the 16th century, they discovered this love-loaded fruit and brought it back to Europe. The word ahuacatl morphed into aguacate, and the avocado quickly became a colonial culinary favorite — though its erotic backstory remained, shall we say, under wraps.

Still Hot After All These Years

Ancient warriors ate them for stamina. Lovers used them in fertility rituals. Modern romantics? We just add chili flakes and call it foreplay. Ancient warriors and emperors often sought to maintain stamina and virility, both inside and outside the bedroom.

Just wait until you hear about what they did with chocolate.

Avocado Aphrodisiac? Let’s Unpack!

For starters, it’s loaded with vitamin E, folate, healthy fat and necessary electrolytes like potassium — nutrients that fuel blood flow, boost mood, and yes–even boost fertility.

Getting adequate nutrition is still important to support reproductive functions, so perhaps the Aztecs were onto something, including this into their diet. Consuming these nutrients ensured they maintained health of their vital sexual organs.

After all, they didn’t exactly have a multi-vitamin in those days.

Enjoy Avocado–It’s Nature’s Butter!

For centuries, this creamy green fruit has symbolized lust, fertility, and sacred sensuality. So next time you indulge in some guac on your tacos, remember: you’re not just eating a superfood — you’re participating in a legacy of ancient divinity, and delicious desire.

After writing my last Eros & Edibles piece on Chocolate as an Aphrodisiac, I was left with more questions about how chocolate came to be so heavily associated with sexual appetite and lust. Why is Chocolate Romantic and so associated with Sex and Love? Well, the answer isn’t quite as simple as you may expect!

While elbow deep in chocolate-knowledge, I discovered so many things I didn’t include in that article, because it simply didn’t fit. There are so many more interesting and unique facts surrounding chocolate’s sensual reputation, extending far back to the days when ancient civilizations thrived in Mesoamerica.

As a Hispanic woman, I am quite familiar with the allure of the decadent treat. Mexican Hot Chocolate, adorned with the taste of cinnamon and ancho chiles, is a result of the deeply and spiritually rooted flavors that come from a plant that was once considered sacred.

Chocolate: From Bitter Water to Erotic Elixir

Chocolate is one food that people look at you as if you spouted an extra limb if you say you “don’t like” it. What’s wrong with you? Have you only had Hershey’s or something–it tastes like vomit! Chocolate has long enchanted each populatio throughout the ages, with its unctuous and silky texture; the result of processing invented by ancient civilizations.

Discovering the erotic and spiritual roots of this now ubiquitous treat has fostered more fascination in me, beyond just the libido boosting benefits. This is a discovery and celebration of the roots of “xocolatl”–or “bitter water”–better known today as Chocolate!

Where Does Chocolate Come From?

Chocolate is deeply rich and silky, tantalizing the tastebuds and leaving us with a high level of satisfaction for a number of reasons. However, this treat has an extensive ancient history.

Chocolate originated in Mesoamerica over 4000 years ago, and was first turned into a drink by the Olmecs of Mesoamerica. Their bitter brew, made with cacao beans they processed themselves, was a revelation to ancient societies. Not only for its incomparable flavor, but for the symbolism in which cacao was bestowed upon these civilizations.

These Mesoamerican civilizations held chocolate, known to them as “xocolatl,” in high regard. They recognized its potential to elevate mood and incite desire, as they sipped upon this sacred liquid.

How was Xocolatl Used?

The Aztecs and the Mayans were particularly famous for their xocolatl rituals. They believed this was a gift from divinity. Consumption of xocolatl was usually reserved for nobility, and served also in religious ceremonies and weddings, where lower classes were also able to enjoy the sacred elixir.

Cacao was Considered Divine

The Mayans held chocolate in a high regard, and called it the “Drink of the Gods”. Mayans poured this mixture from one pot to another, creating a thick foamy beverage called “xocolatl”, meaning “bitter water.” Mayan chocolate was a revered brew made of roasted and ground cacao seeds mixed with chilies, water and cornmeal.

This bitter water was so much more than a beverage. This was a gift from the gods, and they believed that this plant had medicinal qualities, contributing to energy levels through compounds such as theobromine, They saw it not merely as a beverage but as a gift from feathered-serpent deity Quetzalcoatl, bestowing vitality and passion upon those who partook in its divine essence

Quetzalcoatl is a Toltec name for a Mesoamerican God who represented a variety of pleasures they enjoyed, including salubrious health, love, sex, food, and general agriculture.

In addition to the civilizations that came before them, the Aztecs adopted the idea from the Maya, that cacao was a god-given fruit. They used cacao beans as a commodity, considering them as valuable as Spaniards saw Gold. Additionally, they followed the tradition of preparing chocolate as a drink in rich cultural rituals, and were particularly entranced by chocolate’s libido enhancement properties.

Who Brought Chocolate To Europe?

The enchantment of chocolate has captivated the human palate for centuries, and it’s only grown ever since it expanded beyond its Mesoamerican roots. These days, what was once viewed as a luxury, and as valuable as gold, is now available for a couple of bucks at your local convenience store.

Chocolate made its way to Spain via means of the explorer Hernán Cortés, who was searching for gold. He was surprised to be presented with an abundance of cacao beans.

Chocolate: From Currency to a Commodity

When Cortes came to meet with the Aztecs, he was on a conquest for gold. Evidently, he was shown cacao beans instead. This is a testament to the value the Mayans–and subsequently the Aztecs–placed on cacao. Cacao was used as currency, as well as a sacred drink for rituals and extravagant events.

Initially Spaniards didn’t think much of cacao. Mixing these ground beans with chiles and corn masa was not too pleasing to the European palate.

Eventually, Spaniards began drinking chocolate with some changes; imparting sweetness to please their palates. Spanish monks were the first to add sugar to chocolate, creating something far more similar to the hot chocolate we drink today.

Chocolate was served as a beverage to noble people in Spain, adorned with occasional spices such as cinnamon, instead of the chile peppers and corn masa that were traditionally used by Native Mesoamericans.

In Spain, their unique take on the original unsweetened beverage was served to nobility, and prized as a special secret of the Spanish. It was 100 years before Chocolate was brought to other countries.

Nowadays, you can still find it prepared similarly in the form of Champurrado. This corn-masa thickened drink is sweetened with ingredients like piloncillo and cinnamon, providing a uniquely Mexican experience.

How Chocolate Became So Sexy

Montezuma II, the Aztec emperor, was probably the greatest testament to chocolate’s erotic reputation. The emperor enjoyed this beverage so much, he even served xocolatl to Spanish explorers in 1519, who were considered honored guests.

While chocolate was considered medicinal for many reasons, Montezuma prized his favorite drink for enhancing his sexual performance. It was said that the emperor consumed copious amounts of this frothy, bitter concoction to heighten his virility and stamina. As such, he was said to consume up to 50 cups of the divine liquid – daily! The ruler especially made sure to imbibe this stimulating tonic before getting buck wild in his personal harem.

The emperor’s legendary consumption of chocolate specifically for his romantic exploits underscored its status as a divine aphrodisiac. The belief in its ability to inflame the senses and invigorate the body was so strong that cacao beans were even used as currency, a tangible measure of value and desire.

Preparation of Chocolate or Xocolatl

The preparation of xocolatl was a ritual in itself. This took a meticulous process that involved roasting and grinding cacao beans into a paste. This paste was then mixed with water and spices, along with nixtamalized cornmeal for thickening. This ancient, labor-intensive method produced a concoction that  had undeniable, potent effects on the mind and body. However, it was also far removed from the sugary sweetness of modern chocolate.

The frothy beverage, often spiced with chili peppers and vanilla, was a complex blend of bitterness and heat. Xocolatl was a a sensory experience that stimulated passion in the brain. This was especially powerful when combined with the effects of spiritual rituals.

As the bitter liquid coursed through the veins of its consumers, it was believed to trigger the release of mood-enhancing chemicals within the brain.

How Does Chocolate Stimulate the Brain?

Phenylethylamine is a compound found in chocolate. This compound is known to stimulate the same neurological pathways as falling in love or experiencing intense attraction.

Anandamide, another compound, induces a state of bliss, its name derived from the Sanskrit word for joy or delight. These scientific findings lend at least some credence to chocolate’s sexy reputation.

So when I say a decadent chocolate cake tastes like “love,” I most certainly mean it.

Even modern day chocolate can prove to be a multi-sensory experience! While it may be sweet, sometimes cloyingly so, it also provides savory undertones to satisfy all senses of your palate. Now you know–a taste of this treat has the power to evoke the most delicious cocktail of brain chemicals!

Today, chocolate remains a symbol of romance and pleasure. Somehow, throughout the trials of time, the decadent treat still proves it’s a true descendant of the sacred xocolatl. While the recipe has evolved to suit sweeter tastes, the essence of chocolate’s allure persists. Chocolate continues to be a universal language of love, a key to unlocking desire, and always proves to be the perfect romantic gift.

Experience the enduring power of ancient wisdom, yourself, this Valentine’s Day. Enjoy a bite or three, before you seal the deal! 💋

As I was surfing through threads today, I came across this clip from people of Pamela Anderson make-up free over and over. I’m just in awe; I cannot stop thinking about it.

Pamela came to fame as a sex symbol, and these types of figures have historically been polarizing on society at large. While they’re prized and praised for their beauty, they’re deeply sexualized and thus seen as immoral by certain demographics. As such, I believe a lot of people have preconceived notions about her that tainted their perception of Pamela Anderson as an older woman. She was fortunate to be beautiful and got paid for it! However you may feel about her youthful antics: you weren’t the same person as you were 30 years ago, were you?

If you are–well, I suggest some positive self-reflection. 🤧

A True Symbol of Beauty – Make-up Free Pamela Anderson

This is the very clip I keep watching. She’s beautiful. I’m elated just looking at her, with her imperfect skin, crystal clear eyes; proudly wearing her wrinkles. She’s glowing in a way a woman only does when they finally feel free.

I feel like her soul is free, without the pressure of being youthful and performative bombshell appearances. The internet discourse about Make-up Free Pamela Anderson is so funny to me, because it doesn’t make sense. So many people praise or criticize her going make-up free, with a variety of claims about her appearance. More and more, it becomes clear to me that maybe some people don’t fully understand what it means for Pamela Anderson to be without make-up. People don’t seem to take her seriously because of her past, which I feel is a grave miscalculation.

I saw claims that she has had surgical and skin procedures most of us had not.

Now, Pamela Anderson was always naturally beautiful, with the “classic beauty” face. She maintained it. After a certain point, she did get fillers and botox. Eventually, she had the fillers removed and stated that she is no longer interested in those procedures in more recent interviews.

This is a pretty good breakdown of the work she has had over the years:

Many are objectively beautiful, but it takes a certain spark to become an icon like Pamela Anderson. And she still has that spark!

I keep gazing upon her. She doesn’t look like she aged in a superhuman way, like many stars these days like to portray well into their 50s. Pamela is in her late fifties. Her skin is imperfect and uneven, she’s got wrinkles, smile lines, and more. What she did NOT do, was try to maintain her same appearance that made her famous to begin with.

You may see the same signs of aging on yourself. And yet, she still radiates the same sparkling energy that helped make her a full-blown sex symbol, to begin with.

But that’s exactly the thing: she doesn’t look abnormally youthful for her age. She’s aging like a normal person, whose beauty made her famous. Pamela Anderson Make-up Free is wearing her “flaws” like a badge of honor. Now she’s embracing a side of herself beyond the beauty that turned her into an icon. She’s fully getting into her “crone” season and is no longer bound by what people think of her looks.

Aging is a funny thing, as a participant in aging myself. Pamela Anderson looks like a healthy, beautiful 50+ year old woman. This is somewhat symbolic of the way we have evolved to look at appearance. Pamela is making headlines because she was known for her looks, and that is why we praise her for embracing her natural aging process.

Pamela was already pretty–yes.

Lovely Pamela isn’t the same beauty she was many years ago, and she understands this very well. We always relish when a star loses their good looks as they age, but no one seems to be feeling this way about her. Perhaps it’s because the Make-up Free Pamela Anderson is still very pretty. Watching her embrace this type of freedom is probably one of the coolest things I have seen an aging sex symbol do, in a very long time. It’s a radical act of self-love, and I wish I could bottle it and sell it.

Pamela Anderson was and is a sex symbol, and also a beacon to those of us to be okay with not looking the same way we did in our youth. Embrace the changes as you age, and you’ll find your own beauty, too.

Today, I am excited to review with you the aphrodisiac qualities of honey! The naturally sensual syrup is sticky, it’s sweet, and has qualities that make more than your food and your luscious bodies good enough to eat! The golden elixir we spoon into our tea serves many health benefits, even as just a natural sweetener. However, we find that perhaps this divine food has much more than meets the eye.

Sinfully Sweet: The Aphrodisiac Qualities of Honey

The sticky, sweet elixir has enraptured us for a millennia. Famously, modern archaeologists have found pots of honey, thousands of years old, still preserved in ancient Egyptian tombs. Wouldn’t you know it? It was still good enough to eat.

Evidence suggests that this tempting treat can stir a little more than just your tea; it can stimulate that libido. Honey can stir up feelings of romance and passion, you may not expect or even consider as a result of regular honey consumption. Heck – I consume it almost daily! Maybe that’s why my libido is out of control. 🧐

While honey may have many benefits outside of this realm, today we uncover how the ancient nectar of desire earned its reputation as an aphrodisiac.

The Nectar of Aphrodite

From mythology to reality, honey has long been associated with love and lust. This is a sweetener that is rich and deep, with complex notes of flavor. It’s the essence of nature.

Honey is just a sexy substance, to begin with, if you think about it. It flows slowly, enveloping every molecule it rolls over with its golden hue. Just imagine the flow of honey over your bare skin, slightly thicker than the sweat rolling off your body in an act of passion. Imagine as it rolls down the skin of your lover, allowing you to taste them with just a little extra sweetness. The taste alone, for true gourmands, is sensually delectable as it is visually appealing, flowing slowly over bare skin.

While I may have lost track of that for a minute, I wanted to take a moment to note that this is a testament to how useful honey has been in natural medicines. Before modern medicine, honey has been used to treat sexual dysfunction and boost libido.

A Spoonful of Seduction; Honey as an Aphrodisiac

While honey provides the utmost of sensory pleasure, this tempting treat contains nutritive minerals that may serve to benefit you in the bedroom. It turns out that honey has been linked to protective roles in reproductive health! And we all know a healthy and virile reproductive system means a more vigorous sex life!

Honey contains a couple of important nutrients;

  1. Boron, which helps regulate hormone levels, and
  2. Nitric oxide, is the chemical responsible for erections, and thus is important to maintain within the body to stay 🍆

Mother Nature Makes Certain We Get Down

This study states that in reproductive health, honey has been shown to improve fertility, offers protection for post-menopausal women, and can even restore testosterone levels over time. This means more virility, even increasing sperm quality.

Research shows that just a three-ounce helping of honey can significantly increase nitric oxide levels in the blood. Plus, the natural sugars in honey provide a quick energy boost, perfect for those late-night rendezvous when you need a little extra stamina. 😇

The Bee’s Knees of Romance

Honey’s aphrodisiac qualities extend beyond the delicious taste. Its luscious sweetness can set the mood, making it a perfect addition to a romantic evening as a part of a charcuterie or cheese board or even just in the bedroom. Oh! Maybe a honey-flavored massage oil? Imagine the intoxicating scent that could be stemming from your lover.

Incorporating honey into your love life is both easy and enticing. Whether you’re drizzling it over strawberries for a playful treat or adding a dollop to your evening tea to set a cozy mood, honey’s sweetness is sure to add a touch of romance to any encounter.

So next time you’re looking to spice things up, consider reaching for the honey jar – one of our favorite aphrodisiacs – and savor the sweet, sensual buzz it brings. Whether enjoyed for its taste, its texture, or its ability to boost libido, honey is a versatile and delightful way to add a little sweetness to your sex life.

What is Sitophilia? If you’re hungry for an answer, we can help you dabble in this savory sensation. Who knows? Maybe we’ll awaken something new in the process! Bon appétit!

Sitophilia, a term derived from the Greek words “sitos” (food) and “philia” (love), refers to a sexual fascination with food, eating, or being fed. This unique fetish transcends the conventional boundaries of sexuality, blurring the lines between sustenance and seduction. In this article, we’ll delve into the world of sitophilia, exploring its nuances and providing ideas for those interested in exploring this fascinating aspect of human sexuality.

Sitophilia: Unraveling the Fascination with Food and Sex

At its core, sitophilia is about the eroticization of food and the act of consumption. It can manifest in various ways, such as:

  • Sexual arousal from watching someone eat or being fed
  • Fantasizing about food-related scenarios, like being fed by a dominant partner or engaging in food play
  • Using food as a prop or tool for sexual stimulation
  • Associating specific foods with sexual pleasure or intimacy
  • Exploring Sitophilia, SOLO

Are you wanting to give Sitophilia a try? Here are some naughty ideas to tempt your tastebuds!

Partnered Food Play:

Experiment with different textures, temperatures, and sensations. Try feeding yourself or a partner with your hands, using utensils, or even incorporating food into foreplay. Fun foods to try include cut up fruits, sauces, jello, whipped cream, and even ice cream to combine sitophilia with a little temperature play!

Explore the role of food in power play scenarios, such as a dominant partner feeding a submissive one. This can add an exciting layer of complexity to your sitophilic exploration.

Sensual Dining:

Set up a romantic dinner with a partner, focusing on the sensory experience of eating together. Pay attention to the sounds, smells, and tastes, and see how it heightens your intimacy. You can do it in silence, and under candlelight to set the mood. Let your senses take over, you hedonist! 🤭

Food Fantasies:

Have you simply let yourself drift off into fantasy? Write down your food-related fantasies, no matter how unusual they may seem. This can help you identify patterns and desires, allowing you to explore them further.

Sensory Deprivation:

Try eating in the dark or blindfolded, heightening your sense of touch and smell. This can create a new, intense experience. You can do this by yourself, or with a partner. Take the time to enjoy the textures and flavors of the food you’ve prepared.

Ensure that all parties involved are comfortable and willing to engage in these activities. As you venture into the world of sitophilia, remember to prioritize your comfort, safety, and boundaries. This fascinating aspect of human sexuality offers a unique opportunity to explore new dimensions of intimacy and pleasure. By embracing your curiosity and creativity, you can unlock a richer, more satisfying sexual experience.

As a sex marketer, I know that sex sells; but creepy vintage commercials and ads will straight up make you uncomfortable! As a lover of vintage culture as well as sex, I set out to find old ads that were deeply inappropriate, specifically in terms of sexuality.

While there are many ads that range from sexist, homophobic, racist and more, today we’re focusing on ads that straddle the lines of sexy. Perhaps this was messaging that worked at the time, but the seedy undertones of a few of these ads make me a touch queasy. Nevertheless, I have compiled ad with the hopes of making your skin crawl, at least a little! 💋

You cannot convince me that most of these advertisers didn’t know what they were doing. You can’t, you can’t, you can’t, you can’t!

Love’s Baby Soft Commercial – 1975

“So Love made Baby Soft, with the innocent scent of a cuddly clean baby who grew up very sexy,” is making my skin crawl. How is this real? How did they get this woman to agree to this? This is probably the creepy vintage commercials of the current round up. It gets better from here, I promise. 😆

“You and Your Johnson” – Johnson Boating 1980s

If you’ve not heard a single sexual thing in the last 50 years, you wouldn’t know that Johnson is often a euphemism for “penis”. To me, it sounds like he’s got quite the third leg, if you have to include it with your guest lists. 😬

World’s Largest Lemons Ad – Quick Way Bar Mix 🍋

Okay, I kind of love this ad, and I really think it’s something I need to re-create. She’s a gorgeous pin-up, with LARGE, juicy lemons! Does it get any better? I wouldn’t call this inappropriate, but I do love the euphemism for lemons.

BTW, if you love large lemons, make sure to check out my fanpages. Mine are even larger! 😉

Ballzac – 1993

Technically, I was alive when this commercial aired, but I most certainly do not remember this. The hippidy hoppity beats must have made it sound extra cool, to the kids who don’t know what a ballsack is, and also do not mind looking like one.

I almost wish they made some in “nude” tones. 😏

Spread Your Legs! 🚗

COME ON. COME. ON. You know exactly what you were doing here, Pontiac! You’re encouraging passionate, backseat action which is a crime. A good one, with no victims.

Fly Judy – 1974

There’s a lot to unpack here. Judy’s voice, sweetly explaining that she wants to be flown everywhere. Especially as she begins to undress on the beach! Was that timing incredible or what?

I cannot imagine what the editors were thinking. What were the writers thinking?! “Fly Me,” she says. Yes, baby!

Are Oysters an Aphrodisiac? Many of those looking for a boost in the bedroom would like to know!

Have you been slurping your way to the bedroom? Is your mouth watering at the idea of slurping sweet, salty nectar, as it drips down your lips? To be finished with gratifying fullness, sated hunger, and a delicate, elegant little pearl to treasure at the end as you savor the aftertaste.

Welcome to Eros & Edibles on Peach Kisser! This is where we discuss the many ways food relates to sexuality, and beyond!

Today we’re uncovering the Facts and Fiction surrounding my favorite Aphrodisiac, Oysters!! They’re some of my personal favorite morsels to savor, whether or not they actually help to catapult you to an elevated orgasmic experience.

These titillating mollusks, and many other foods have, have earned the reputation of helping to amplify the effects of the bedroom. Is that all in our heads, or are there reasons it may contribute to our sexual health?

Images of oysters conjure up visions of date nights, fancy dinners or even just as a beautiful and natural ode to the vagina. Along with many other foods, this humble mollusk has made its way onto the most romantic and indulgent of tables.

If the pure sensuality of oysters alone hasn’t gotten you gripped with appeal, there are a number of things that may contribute to the overall perception of Oysters as an Aphrodisiac.

Why are Oysters an Aphrodisiac?
Oysters on Ice with Champagne

Why are Oysters an Aphrodisiac?

Believe it or not, oysters are rich in nutrients that have an impact on sexual health in all genders.

Zinc – known to increase testosterone production, among other roles within the body.

Vitamin B12 – has many roles in the body including synthesis of serotonin, blood flow, and improvement in testosterone production.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids – known to improve blood flow, which is essential for healthy erectile function.

Proper nutrition primes the body for good sexual health, impacting all the processes it takes to achieve a healthy, sustainable sex life. Zinc, in particular, is most directly associated with testosterone production, while the other nutrients serve to benefit the body as a whole. (1)

Testosterone is the hormone most associated with men. The truth is, however, that all genders rely on testosterone in different amounts, to achieve and carry out functions in our reproductive systems. Testosterone also plays a role in AFAB bodies, playing roles in libido, mood, energy, fertility, and menstrual cycles. This means that testosterone is essential to sexual function in all gender. (2)

Therefore, restoring adequate levels of these nutrients may have an impact on sexual health and performance.

If testosterone levels are too low, without regard to gender, one may experience symptoms in sexual function, mood, and more. Please consult your doctor or medical professional if you are experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, ED, or vitamin deficiency.

Date Night Essential

Oysters have long been associated with luxury and indulgence. This simple notion alone can add to their appeal as an aphrodisiac. The act of eating oysters, especially in a romantic setting, can be a sensual experience when shared between two lovers, already enrobed in lust.

When experiencing the throes of passion, eating and sensuality go hand-in-hand. Many of us crave a night of sensual indulgence; a sensual meal that culminates into a vigorous romp

Are the effects of oysters as an aphrodisiac are psychosomatic or zinc-induced? The truth is, it’s likely a combination of factors that may have your pants dancing with anticipation of good lovin’.

One would be remiss not to mention that the aphrodisiac properties of oysters, may simply be because of association. Meaning, they’re causing people to feel more sexually aroused, simply because they expect arousal to follow their slurpy consumption.

How to Eat Oysters

If you’ve never dined on the divine brine protein that is the oyster, there’s a whole lot to know, but I’m going to condense what I can into a quick review and checklist. That way you can impress your date when you’re ordering oysters in anticipation of a divine reward. 😉

What to Expect. Most frequently, you will be served raw oysters over ice. There may be sauces or vinaigrettes served alongside the shellfish. Sometimes they may be accompanied with something as simple as lemon juice and miniature bottles of Tabasco sauce. Occasionally, a restaurant may serve them with saltines.

Some may come prepared with various toppings, but a menu will dictate that ahead of time to inform your decision. Ask your waiter which oysters are the most fresh, if there are multiple options. Most restaurants these days will fly in fresh oysters, daily. Use your best judgment.

Go to a Good Restaurant

Most good restaurants will have already severed the adductor muscle, to make for a smooth, sleek slurping experience. If not, you’ll want to loosen it with the provided fork. A good restaurant will usually supply oyster forks.

Add some flavor. As mentioned, oysters are frequently served with lemon juice and Tabasco. It may even be served with a type of vinegar-y condiment called a mignonette. You don’t have to add anything at all, but adding additional flavor enhances the overall experience. And remember– we’re going for the full sensual experience.

Now, bring the shell to your lips, and slurp the meat, brine and all, into your mouth. Feels good, doesn’t it?

Chew it! Were you raised in a barn? Many commonly believe that the oyster is to be swallowed whole, at once. Unless you have a strong preference for swallowing mucus-y loads, then chewing is ideal to maximize flavor and more.

Discard the shell. Usually you can discard it upon a separate plate.

Whether you’re feeling randy after slurping up this visually stimulating aphrodisiac or not, oysters can contribute to your sexual health and your appetite in significant ways. Especially if you’re deficient in nutrients, and need the extra boost of zinc to get juices flowing, so-to-speak.
